pioneering in mexican landscape photography back in the 70´s was lourdes grobet. here painted landscapes are full of irony. it seems to me that here work could be seen parallel to that of the "new topographics", mexican style of course, in the sense that she was also ironizing the landscape seen by a previous generation as pristine and bucolic.
